SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Outpatient Hand Therapy program at our East Campus located at 30 Hope Drive in Hershey, PA and Lime Spring Clinic in Lancaster, PA. You will have the opportunity to work in an academic medical setting alongside a team of seasoned therapists (Occupational, Physical, and Speech) with expertise in hand rehabilitation and orthopedics as well as neurologic, vestibular, and sports rehabilitation among others. You will work closely with orthopedic & plastic surgeons, and primary care providers in treating pre-operative, non-operative and post-operative patients with upper extremity bone & joint injuries and peripheral nerve conditions in pediatrics, adults and geriatrics. As a member of an academic medical center there is strong focus on education and training with opportunities to participate in rounds/educational events and to mentor students and medical residents. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years? experience in Hand Therapy; Certification in Hand Therapy is preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited ACOTE program and completion of clinical rotations required.
- Currently licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist by the state of employment. If working under a temporary license, Occupational Therapy license in the state of employment must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
