Mercy Clinic in Joplin, Missouri, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our growing practice. This General Surgeon opportunity offers a quick ramp-up period and the ability to practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Practice Highlights
- Join two experienced General Surgeons and 2 APP?s
- Position available due to a General Surgeon leaving. (Quick ramp-up period)
- Practice at one location: Mercy Hospital Joplin, with optional outreach
- Call 1:4, 1 weekend/month general surgery call. Trauma and Acute Care Surgery is covered by a separate group.
- APP support provided after ramp-up period
- Breast Surgery is required and will be shared with a general surgery partner.
- Experienced clinic support and fully staffed
- OR Block time consists of 1-2 days a week on main campus. Additional OR block times in sister hospitals (Galena, Carthage, and Pittsburg) may also be available
- Access to two Da Vinci robots
- Robotic training/experience preferred
- Preferred candidate will be comfortable with EGD/Colo/Trach/PEG?s
- Interest/Skills in endocrine surgery (thyroids and adrenals) or colorectal is a plus
- EMR: Epic
- Teaching opportunities with stipends available
Compensation & Benefits
- $540,000 income guarantee plus $50,000 recruitment incentives
- Additional incentives tailored to your needs: sign-on bonus, commencement bonus, resident/fellow stipends
- While on guarantee: 20 days PTO, 6 holidays, 5 days CME
- $5,000 annual CME allowance
